在brainstorm.ubuntu.com 上新提了一个建议:安装时单设 /home 分区

idea #5113: ask the user to set a seperate /home partition when
installing ubuntu

nowadays the harddisk is rather big, so when installing ubuntu, the
installer can ask the user to choose whether to set up a seperate
/home partition to hold the future personal data, instead of just put
everything under the /.
the benefit is that if so, the re-installation can be less painful,
supposing the user just wants to format the / partition and leaves the
/home partition untouched.
the size can be equal to the / partition, at the most times.
just one more click can save tons of future troubles, so, i believe it
should be useful.
